Historic Waxahachie, Inc. is proud to support the next generation of leaders, storytellers, and advocates for preservation through our annual scholarship program! Each year, we recognize outstanding graduating seniors from Waxahachie who demonstrate a passion for history and a commitment to preserving the unique heritage of our city.
We are now accepting applications for the 2026 Historic Waxahachie, Inc. Scholarship. A one-time $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to select graduating students who will be attending an accredited university, college, or technical school during the 2026–2027 academic year.
Graduating high school seniors in Waxahachie (public, private, and homeschool)
Students planning to attend an accredited university, college, or technical program in Fall 2026
Applicants who demonstrate a passion for Waxahachie history and preservation

All applications from WISD students must be submitted by March 27, 2026. (Instructions for submitting are included in the form)
All applications from private school and homeschool students must be submitted by Friday, April 3, 2026.

Through our scholarship program, HWI hopes to help local students further their education. We also hope to inspire students to preserve and cherish the heritage of Waxahachie and keep it alive for generations to come.
